report review the judicial conduct of the French authorities towards Jews in countries under French protectorates in North Africa. The anti-Jewish Tendency's led by Vichy Generals during the war and the positive change after the liberation.            

Confiscation of Jewish property in Algeria

Reviewing the arrival of  Vallat Xavier from French to North Africa in the summer of 1941 in order to handle the Jewish economic and political effect by confiscating property (1942),  Nazi propaganda in the Arab population.  German source reveals that Jews were arrested and transfer to trail in France.
The Jewish community in Algiers  had difficulties handling the situation and needed assistance from the Joint distribution comity  in order to help Jewish refugees in camps. 

Financial assitance to the poor Jews of Casablanca

Container 3, file 16, documents A2-B2.Article dated 30.11.1937, "L'Union Marocaine", is a request for financial assitance from rich Jews of Casablanca to the poor Jews, especially in education. The article is written by Elie Nataf, the President of the Jewish Community of Tunisia and cites a detailed report of donations received in the past and the use of them. 

Review on French North Africa in 1943

An Essay which contains review on French North Africa in 1943. The review was published in the yearbook of foreign policy in 1944, pp. 1009-1026. 
The book was published by Prof. F.A. Six as an initiative of the German Foreign Ministry. 
The document mentions that general Giraud cancelled discriminatory laws against Jews. Jews returned to their jobs and their salaries are paid in retroactively.

Political review on french north africa in 1942.(Jahrbuch der Weltpolitik 1943, pp. 1037-1047)It is noted that Giraud canceled anti-Jewish legislation and appointed the Jews Rene Mayer, Gunzbourg and Weill to public positions in Algeria. Weill was responsible for the improving of status of Jews. 900 Jewish prisoners in French North Africa were liberated. Most of them chose to join the USA army or to obtain visas to the USA
