Letter from the General Governor of Algeria to the Constantine prefect concerning the implementation of the Vichy anti-Jewish legislation published by October 3, 1940. The Constantine prefect is asked to identify the Jews working in his services in order to dimiss them before December 18, 1940.

Letter concerning the application of the Vichy anti-Jewish legislation of June 2nd, 1941, 09/05/1941

Letter from the Ministry of Interior of the Vichy regime Maurice Sabatier to all the prefects in French departements that intend to clarify the third paragraph of the anti-Jewish law of June 2nd, 1941. According to the new legislation, Jews should be banned from public administrations and from companies that were partly or entierly funded by the State. A copy of this letter was sent to the engineer in chief of the Constantine department.

Complaint concerning the degradation of the status of Mrs Raymond in accordance with the Vichy anti-Jewish legislation, 09/10/1941

Letter sent by Mr. Bernard Raymond to the Governor General of Algeria in which he requests to modify the status of his wife, which was worsened from "French citizen" to "local Jew" following the Vichy anti-Jewish legislation. A copy of this letter was sent to the Constantine prefect.

Letter concerning the mention of specific status on official cerificates, 09/24/1941

Letter from the Governor General of Algeria to the Constantine prefect in which he requires from the administrative authorities to mention the specific status of the prefecture's inhabitants ("citizen", "local Jew", "foreign Jew") on their official certificates.

Letter concerning the wards of the state working for the French army, 10/13/1941

Letter from the Governor General of Algeria to the French air force commander in Algeria concerning the application of the Vichy anti-Jewish legislation. The General Governor decides that all the young Jewish people considered as wards of state and working in the air force should stay in office, even if they exceeded the age of 18. Moreover, he addresses the specific case of Mrs. Diot, which is also known from other documents found in the Constantine archives.

מכתב וחוזר אודות יישומו של חוק מעמד היהודים, 17/10/1941

Letter from the Governor General of Algeria to the Constantine prefect that conveys a ministerial circular issued by the Minister of Interior of the Vichy regime, Maurice Sabatier, by September 22, 1941. Both documents are concerned with the application of the Vichy anti-Jewish legislation promulgated by June 2, 1941.
