الوصف

Page 7: Airgraph to Kassman’s mother. Discussion of mail, which is coming frequently now. Alec [Kassman’s brother] is on leave for 7 days. Kassman sent his (Alec’s) Will to her in a green envelope last week, and requests that she destroy the previous version upon receipt.
They are on night duty a lot. Description of what Kassman is reading. Discussion of reading War and Peace in the context of “this Russian business”, and a mention that Hitler could potentially make the same mistake as Napoleon in fighting the Russians if they are still in the fight come winter. Kassman says he would prefer to be reading about this fifty years later.
This is his fourth Airgraph, as forms are currently scarce. He is still well.
1/2 page typed. Dated July 20, 1941.
