الوصف
Letter from C. W. Oliver of the British Embassy in Rome to R. M. A. Hankey of the British Foreign Office about Lieutenant Colonel E. H. Czapski’s employment and the progress of his Polish Emigration Office in the resettlement of demobilised Polish soldiers in North Africa. Czapski has been employed by the British Embassy. More work will be left to do in May; Oliver wishes to keep Czapski and his officers on until the end of that month. Oliver suggests various options for Czapski’s further employment, as his current job with the Embassy was intended to end in April, and praises him and his work in detail (also citing endorsement from Jack Ward who has personal experience of it).
2 pages typewritten. “Dear Hankey” and “Yours sincerely” are handwritten; signature of C. W. Oliver. Dated April 30, 1948.
