الوصف
Airgraph from Gunner H. Henry Kassman to his mother, from within a file of his correspondence between 1941-1943 compiled by his daughter in 2010. File’s contents are primarily typed letters and other correspondence, occasionally reproduced (often in addition to the typed version), and also include photographs, diary entries from Kenneth Rankin’s book Top-Hats in Tobruk, some other written materials, and some explanatory material. Page 8: Airgraph from Kassman to mother. Mentions mail received from mother and Bert Joseph (cousin). Reader’s Digest also sent a note – a subscription from “A Friend of Mother’s”, whom he assumes to be her new husband. Mentions of what she might send in a parcel should she care to – has not previously asked for fear they would not arrive and out of knowledge of rationing/scarcity in England. The weather is getting hotter. Alec (brother) was just on leave in Tel Aviv for seven days.
1/2 page, typed. Dated July 31, 1941.
