report review the judicial conduct of the French authorities towards Jews in countries under French protectorates in North Africa. The anti-Jewish Tendency's led by Vichy Generals during the war and the positive change after the liberation.            

European Jewish refugees in North Africa

American Jewish Year Book pages 256-258 from 1943. The report review on the  European Jewish refugees who arrived to North Africa during WWII. The refugees were imprison in vireos camps (Ain El-Ouraq, Morocco). some of the refugees worked on the Trans Saharan railway and after the liberation for the allies forces. there's a specific remark on a Hunger strike taken by Jews (German-Austrian) who protested the rough conditions and the right to immigrate   

Review on French North Africa in 1943

An Essay which contains review on French North Africa in 1943. The review was published in the yearbook of foreign policy in 1944, pp. 1009-1026. 
The book was published by Prof. F.A. Six as an initiative of the German Foreign Ministry. 
The document mentions that general Giraud cancelled discriminatory laws against Jews. Jews returned to their jobs and their salaries are paid in retroactively.

Political review on french north africa in 1942.(Jahrbuch der Weltpolitik 1943, pp. 1037-1047)It is noted that Giraud canceled anti-Jewish legislation and appointed the Jews Rene Mayer, Gunzbourg and Weill to public positions in Algeria. Weill was responsible for the improving of status of Jews. 900 Jewish prisoners in French North Africa were liberated. Most of them chose to join the USA army or to obtain visas to the USA

First document: letter dated 23.6.1944, Casablanca, from Raphael Ben Azaraf to Elie Gozlan, editor of the "Bulletin de la Fédération des Sociétés Juives d'Algérie" in Algiers. In his letter, Ben Azaraf informs on new subscribers and payements to be transmitted to the newspaper. The letter includes articles written in Morocco dealing about Palestine, antisemitism and the United Nations to be publish in the newspaper (second document).
