Telegram from Rahn to the Foreign Ministry, talking about the investigations of accused “acts of revenge” against Axis-friendly Arabs by the French police. While the French Residency points to reports that testify acts of theft proceeding the prosecution, Rahn remains unsure and announces further investigations by security services, although admitting, that withdrawal of French gendarmery from certain areas had to be stopped because of immediate attacks on foreign settlers.
