French Telegram from the Swiss embassy in Tunis to the Swiss Government relaying a message from General Esteva to be put forth to Roosevelt and Churchill, expressing the damage inflicted on the population of Tunis by Allied bombing. He – in the name of the Bey – therefore appeals to their humanitarian sensibility and requests an end to the targeting of the old city and Muslim living quarters, which aren´t involved in any militaristic activity. The Telegram closes with an appeal to have the message directly relayed by the Swiss president.
