Description

Petition – In favor of colleagues, sales representatives, living in Morocco, to facilitate them obtaining visas so that they can travel to Algeria for their professional activity. The General Residence in Rabat no longer issues these visas.

August 12, 1942 – Admiral Esteva, Resident General of France in Tunis, writes to Pierre Laval, Head of Government and Minister of Foreign Affairs, with reference to the above petition. He sees no objection « to the issuance, to those concerned, without prior consultation, of safe-conducts established for a single trip of limited duration ». However, it invites them to justify the need for their trip by producing all the necessary documents.
