Note concerning the fields of competence of the Department for Jewish Matters and Secret Societies, 03/04/1942

The note was written by the Head of the Department for Jewish Matters and Secret Societies and addressed to the Secretary in chief of the French administration in Constantine, Algeria. This four-pages, typed note presents an overview of the diverse fields of competence of the aforementioned Department and resumes its actions (matters, requests). The service dealt with several main concerns, such as the modification of the Jews' political status, the belonging of some people to the jewish race, the issuing of special work permits for Jews working within forbidden fields and so on.
