Description

This report describes the feeling of the hostility of the Jews towards Marshal Pétain and their strong admiration for England. They constitute the main elements of English propaganda in Algeria. The report quotes, through an indigenous informant, the characteristic words that the Jews make, in particular: “England will be victorious over Germany and it is General De Gaulle who will take power in France”, “It is not the Germans but the English who will come to occupy Algeria”, “England has always given independence to the Arab countries”, etc. These words are addressed to the natives and led to an incident between Europeans and natives.
