Rapport sur les possibilités d’une émigration juive à Madagascar, 14 février 1938
Description
According to this report, Major Lepecki who heads the Polish study mission to Madagascar gave a conference on “the possibilities of emigration that Madagascar would represent”. The island could accommodate 15,000 families or 70,000 people. The costs to be expected are estimated at 30,000 francs per family. According to the speaker, this sum is less than that required for the emigration of a family in Palestine and which will amount to 1000 pounds sterling.
