A decree of September 9 set the total number of Jewish dentists for Algeria at 2%. They can’t hold any jobs unless they are veterans.

Former Muslim clients of Jewish doctors complain about the insufficient number of doctors remaining in office. Most of the eliminated Jewish doctors refuse to empty their offices. Some have even turned them into the housing to avoid the search.
