Description

This report provides an overview of December 1941 on the political activity of elected Muslim officials, reformist ulama, the Algerian People’s Party, etc. We can also read the information on the youth of the Algerian Muslim Congress, the action of the European parties on the Natives, the native workers, the economic question, etc.

The application to Algeria of the status of the Jews is actively pursued. The Service of the Economic Organization is concerned with regulating within the framework of the law of June 2, 1941, the influence of the Jews in the commercial, industrial and craft professions. Finally, we proceed to the designation of “provisional administrators” of the property of the Jews.

A law, published in the Official Journal of December 2, created the “Union des Israélites de France”, responsible for representing the interests of the Jewish people to the public authorities. A decree will fix the modalities of application of this law in Algeria.
