Les Juifs d\u2019Afrique du Nord (Libye, Tunisie, Alg\u00e9rie et Maroc) ont souffert de haine et de pers\u00e9cutions pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale. Les Juifs d\u2019Afrique du Nord ont \u00e9t\u00e9 touch\u00e9s par la guerre et ont m\u00eame connu la perte de leurs proches. Le sort des Juifs d’Afrique du Nord \u00e9tait diff\u00e9rent d’un pays \u00e0 l’autre. Dans certains pays,\u00a0 il y avait certaines similitudes avec l’Europe. Comme par exemple l\u2019envoi des Juifs dans les camps de concentration et les\u00a0 des camps de travail, l\u2019obligation du port de l’\u00e9toile\u00a0 jaune. De plus, en raison de l\u2019\u00e9tat de guerre, les Juifs furent contraints de chercher refuge dans les villages arabes. Et comme pour l\u2019ensemble de la population des pays d\u2019Afrique du Nord, leurs maisons ont \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9truites par les bombardements. Ils ont \u00e9galement souffert de p\u00e9nuries et ont eu peur de l\u2019avenir.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Le Centre de documentation sur les Juifs d’Afrique du Nord pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale a fait partie de l’activit\u00e9 de recherche de l’Institut Ben-Zvi pour l’\u00e9tude des communaut\u00e9s juives d\u2019Orient et est soutenu par la Claims Conference. Les objectifs du centre, fond\u00e9 en 2007, ont \u00e9t\u00e9 l\u2019\u00e9tude et la recherche sur l’histoire des Juifs d’Afrique du Nord pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale et la sensiblilisation du public \u00e0 l’importance de ces questions.<\/span><\/p>\r\n
