The document focusses on the uprising of nationalist forces in Tunisia and civil disobedience, in which Jews took part as well. It also deals with the increasing tensions

between Jews and Arabs, enforced by the media. Those tensions resulted into riots in Sfax, Bizerta and Ariana, where militaric intervention was neccessary in order to

prevent looming progroms. Further topics are French-Arab relationships, the special status of Italians in Tunisia, Forgein Policies, armanment in Tunisia and the public

opinion on German foreign policies. Criticism and concern are reflected in the French press.
