Fighting is going on around Sirte “and we have hopes that ultimately we shall be [censored phrase], although we are all probably premature in our wish.” They are not too near the fighting; army life (not unpleasant); mentioned Senussi; food; construction of bivouac; Xmas party plans. Alec is now in South Africa.
