Letter of the German Embassy in Paris to the German Ministry of Transport about the Tétouan Consulate’s report which the German Embassy in Madrid had sent to them. The report from Tétouan (R71093-001) informs about the cruises of the German steamboat “Columbus” to Morocco and complains about the organization of these “pleasure trips” in spite of French authorities’ hateful attitude toward Reich citizens in the Tangier Zone and in French Morocco. According to this letter, the Embassy in Madrid asked to exploit this report in present negotiations about the equality of Reich citizens in Morocco and to threaten that German cruises to French Moroccan ports could be halted. A confident information of the “Norddeutscher Lloyd” is recommended.
