Description

This report gives several indications on the state of mind of the population following the announcement of the decree repealing the Crémieux decree:

1/ The state of mind of the population remains satisfactory.

2/ The events taking place do not leave citizens indifferent. Some are in favor of the English victory against the Italian-Germans.

3/ The political parties show no activity.

4/ Some welcomed the new decree with satisfaction, in particular the indigenous population, others find it too severe.

5/ No incident has been recorded between Jews and Arabs since the appearance in the newspapers of the new decree.
