Rapport sur l’antisémitisme, Batna, 12 décembre 1940
Description
This report on anti-Semitism reports several pieces of information:
1/ The natives showed no exaggeration in their satisfaction with the new status of the Jews.
2/ The natives are convinced that the repeal of the Crémieux decree will bring them no political advantage.
3/ The Israelites observe a cautious and reserved attitude. They are convinced that with the English victory, they will regain their former political power. Some Jews are sympathizers of De Gaulle.
