Description
On the occasion of Kippur, a collection was made in the city’s synagogues to help poor Jews and Jewish civil servants who are victims of the status. A sum greater than 200,000 francs would have been collected. Joseph Zerbib, is said to have donated 400 suits and 400 pairs of shoes to poor Jews.
