Description

This report describes a brawl between soldiers and jews that took place on August 8, as well as the investigation that followed. The accused of the Jewish faith were provoked by the drunken soldiers, one of whom allegedly shouted “Down with the Jews”. We can also read in this report the defense of each accused by their defender. The case has caused consternation among the Jewish population, which dissociates itself from these thugs but finds the sentences too severe. Muslims would have liked more publicity in the press and stronger condemnations.
