Description
This report provides several pieces of information regarding Israelite activity:
-Grand Rabbi Jais was recently appointed Delegate of Schools to the Departmental Commission for Private Jewish Education.
-The Consistory hopes to be able to open upper primary and secondary courses in October. The teachers will be former members of public education.
-The intelligence agents appointed by the Consistory are Guedj, Messaoud Zaffran, Fredj Zerbib, Kalfala Zerbib, Maurice Nakache, Fredj Attal. Their job is to inform the consistory about the state of mind of the Catholic, Jewish and Muslim populations and their actions.
-A delegation made up of Grand Rabbi Jais, Mr. Félix Tenoudji, Simon Moatti and Maurice Laloum, made a collection for the dismissed civil servants.
-A distribution of clothes took place at the Israelite Alliance, intended for the poor children of the cities.
