Description

This document is an extract from an article in the illustrated newspaper “Fotos” which is entitled: “The Spanish effort was fruitful in the land of Oran”, retracing in particular the capture of Oran by the Spanish Empire in 1509, and the vicissitudes of Spanish history in the quest for African territories. The article describes Spain’s colonization of North Africa, describing “an army of Spanish workers [who] made the desert of Oran and Algiers gardens for France; before the French arrive.
