Renseignement au sujet de manifestations hostiles à la France, Alger, 30 juin 1940
Description
This report highlights several things:
1. At Medea, the koulougli element maintains its hostility through broadcasts from Berlin.
2. In Mascara, a prisoner named Mokhtar Benaboura, would speak frequently to Radio-Berlin and would encourage people to abandon France.
3. In Tiaret, we find the same pro-German propaganda.
4. In Algiers, it is said among the Messalists that France is going to be placed, practically, under the tutelage of Germany and that the disarmament imposed on it means the liberation of North Africa.
5. In Mascara and Bel-Abbès, many Spaniards, naturalized or not, have a sustained defeatist action with the natives.
