This report presents an investigation into certain seditious remarks that are said to be exchanged in a Moorish cafes in the Béni Caïd douar. This cafe actually serves as a Koranic school run by Si Abdellah Yamina. Several indigenous Muslims, denounced by Benkhellaf, were arrested just before a revolt. The main discussions in this café revolve around the day’s events and politics, in meetings after 9 p.m. The son of trader Hamadene Mohamed ben Amar was imprisoned in Germany and was subsequently assigned to the Saint-Florentine camp where he escaped thanks to the favors of two German officers, in order to engage in anti-French policy. This movement does not seek German hegemony but pure and simple independence. Aboulbahran Si Mohamed would be the leader of the movement in the Taher sector.
