This document presents several extracts from letters. The first concerns the reopening of a boys’ class in a town whose name is illegible in the document. In a second excerpt addressed to Mr. Laning, the author of the letter describes the scarcity of gasoline and therefore the use of his car sparingly. The third extract addressed to Uncle Hubert concerns the special permit for the automobile given by the military authority, the author also takes part in the question of the war among the indigenous.
