Rapport au sujet des Sociétés Indigènes de Prévoyance, 1942
Description
This report describes the slowdown in the action of the Common Fund of Indigenous Provident Societies in Algeria, in 1942 and during the first months of 1943, due to the state of war and the stagnation of economic life. The common fund was nevertheless able to grant several millions to the Indigenous Societies for the loans of seeds and the operations of supplying the indigenous populations. The report mentions the significant sums and in particular the total of the advances granted to the Native Provident Societies, since the creation of the Common Fund to approximately 440 million. A special commission was set up by decree of August 3, 1943 in order to improve the functioning of this body and increase the effectiveness of its action.
