Description
Weizmann, chairman of the Jewish agency, and Sherick director of the political department of the same agency, spoke about Zionist perspectives at the Jewish Elective Assembly. “Zionism needs England which views” cooperation with sympathy and realism”. “The United States brings to Zionism a friendly influence and their economic aid.” Weizmann formulated two demands in particular: the possibility of the reception in Palestine of all the Jewish orphans saved from Europe and a Jewish state open to immigration .
