Description

This newpaper clipping recounts Bernard Lecache’s conference at the Cercle du Progrès. Bernard Lecache fights in favor of the rapprochement of all French people without distinction of race or religion, in particular between Jews and Muslims. Some believe that this Judeo-Muslim bloc was formed in order “to undermine French prestige”. Bernard Lecache answers “it is insulting all the Muslim dead and all the Jewish dead who sleep in the military cemeteries of the Somme in the Vosges. Bernard Lecache specifies:” Our work is a deeply French work. […] Are we not working, at the same time, for the greatness of French Algeria and for the greatness of Republican France? “.
