November 08, 1940 – The Consul of Belgium in Casablanca informs the Minister of Foreign Affairs in Vichy that « many compatriots arriving from France via Algeria were arrested on their entry into Morocco at OUJDA, although they were provided with a transit visa issued in France ». He asks the competent services of the Ministry not to authorize the issuance of transit visas to Belgians without ensuring the approval of Rabat.

November 21, 1940 – The Belgian Legation in Lisbon addresses that of France to ask that accommodations be found to issue transit visas to Belgian nationals residing in France, Morocco or Algeria so that they can join their domicile in the Belgian Congo.
