Description
Report dated January 4, 1935. It is sent by the Deputy Prefect of Philippeville to the Prefect of Constantine and marked « Secret ». He reports fears of imminent revolt movements on the part of the Indigenous population. He assures that after a thorough investigation about the boycott of Jewish stores and the violence that followed, the indigenous population is under strict surveillance. He concludes that the current situation does not give any cause for concern.
