This report was written by the police commissioner of the 1st arrondissement, Mr. Jean. The meeting organized by Amitiés Latines brought together around 250 people. Most of the natives and Europeans were municipal employees. Several banners had been placed in the room with the following inscriptions: “To come to terms with the Jews is to betray France”, “So that France is no longer under the yoke of Israel”. The members of this group gathered on the stage. President Puverel encourages the audience to vote for candidate Gaston Vidal and to make intense propaganda in his favor. Several other people take the floor and have violently anti-Semitic remarks, in particular Mr. C. Manucci, who declared himself “to slaughter the Jews and destroy them, not by throwing them into the sea because they would stock the fish, but by them. burning, and for the good of France […] “. Mr. Oliver declares: “The Jews must be thrown into the sea, they must be deprived of their status as French citizens, we no longer want Jewish soldiers […] Father Lambert also explained the aim pursued by the Latin Friendship: “fighting the Jews”.
