Rapport spécial sur une représentation théâtrale organisée par les Eclaireurs Israélites, Tébessa, 28 octobre 1942
Description
This report refers to an evening organized by the Eclaireurs Israélites de France Local Group of Tébessa in the presence of Israelites and natives. The evening began with a vibrant Marseillaise sung by the grouping of the Eclaireurs Israélites accompanied by the Muslim scouts, then a presentation of the group, scout songs, a summary of the play Athalie de Racine and finally a religious song sung by the troop. The Muslim scouts were the main collaborators of the Israelite Scouts. The first places had been reserved for the Muslim notables, many of who came to attend this performance. This fact shows the rapprochement between Jews and Arabs.
