This report gives an overview of November 1949 on political activity in Oran. He is also interested in the “Palestinian question”.

The Oran press of November 8 reproduced the text of a telegram sent to the Minister of Foreign Affairs by the dean of the muftis of Algeria and Algiers with a view to obtaining the internationalization of the Holy Places in Palestine. This approach is approved by traditionalist Muslim circles in Oran, but not by nationalists who would prefer the Holy Places to be placed under the authority of Muphti El Husseini.
