Description

This report gives an overview of March 1947 on political activity in Constantine, the press, and the many external events of interest to Muslim circles.

The report mentions the various events taking place in Palestine. The Irgun is responsible for several attacks, Mr. Ernest Bevin, British Foreign Minister opened the debate in the House of Commons on Palestine. He recalled that the terms of the mandate given to Great Britain were contradictory, since they included, on the one hand, the creation of a Jewish home and the protection of Arab interests, on the other. The Irgun demanded that the Palestinian question be included in the program of the Moscow Conference and that Great Britain is called upon to recall its occupying army, to abolish its occupying government, to hand over the powers of the latter to a democratic government representing the Jewish people and to organize free elections in which all the inhabitants of Palestine will participate without distinction of nationality or religion.
