Description

This report gives an overview of the month of September 1944. It contains information on the economic situation, military affairs, the situation of indigenous Muslims, propaganda, etc.

The Jewish population protested loudly expressed its joy at the release of Paris. This attitude has been strongly criticized by Muslims and many Europeans still inclined to criticize Jews for lacking discretion. The Zionist nationalist newspaper “The Voice of the Jews” is not widely used in the Department. In Tebessa, this newspaper appears freely while Arab nationalist propaganda remains prohibited. The Jews of this city claim that only their homeless co-religionists think of reaching Palestine. The Jews born and settled in France never dream of abandoning their country.

Enemy radio propaganda insists on the Jewish danger.
