Description

This report gives an overview of June 1940, on the political events and the activities of elected Muslim, reformist ulemas, religious brotherhoods. One can also read there information on the party of the Algerian people, the Moslem Congress, the European party on the indigenous activities. 

1. “The Jews organized religious ceremonies either at the beginning of the month after the victory or after the armistice for the war dead”.

2. “The Jewish element is mainly accused of trafficking in commercial matters.”

3. Following the defeat of French arms, the natives and Europeans accuse the Jews of being responsible for the misfortunes of France.

4. Two judicial investigations were opened against Albert Denis, who reportedly announced that members of the PCF (French Communist Party) were massacring the Jews from the city, and against the Jew Lucien Attali, who allegedly hit a native vegetable merchant.
