Bulletin d’information n°132 du 26 juin 1940 pour la commune mixte de Laghouat
Description
This newsletter reports the very good morale and calm of the population of Laghouat both among the “nomads” as in the “agglomerated population”. There is a good understanding and “more open relations” between the local authority and the population.
Commune mixte in the French colonial period is a neighborhood managed by civil servants French, Arab (indigenous), and Jews.
The document can be consulted at the documentation center, Institut Ben-Zvi. Appointment required.
