Description

This report presents  information on:

1. the attitude of the indigenous populations is loyal despite the food restrictions

2. A large number of military prisoners

3. the  death toll since 10 May is 6 for the whole of the mixed commune

4. many Moroccans and Senegalese were reportedly shot, the Algerian natives were treated severely

5. the Muslims of the commune who once observed the Germans’ anti-Semitism without displeasure, now fear them more and more

6. the economic situation is good, but it tends to get worse because of poor harvest results, unemployment of workers returning from France, the gradual cessation of the payment of allowances and the rise in prices

Commune mixte in the French colonial period is a neighborhood managed by civil servants French, Arab (indigenous) and Jews.
