Description

This report describes the anti-Semitic atmosphere in the Djelfa annex :

1. Some banknotes are marked by  “indications inciting the consumer not to buy from the Jews”

2. “The literate natives, nomadics  and Ksurians appear to approve completely the measures taken by the” French “government aimed at” liberating the country from foreign invasion and Semitism “

3. These same natives believe that Jewish interests guide all acts of Great Britain and strongly criticize it

4. The Jewish population keeps common and important commercial relations with the Muslim population, but they show more restraint and flexibility. “The Jewish population obviously seeks to gain the good graces of the natives of which it tends to get closer”
