During the war they were evacuated from their homes and her father had go to forced labor. During the boom rids they used to hide under the bed, were traditional and used to go to synagogue on Sabbath and holydays.

Her grandfather was a soldier in the French army and received medals for his service, because of him they moved from
Larisa to Tunis.
