Description
The publication in the press of new texts softening the status of Jews in Algeria provoked very strong reactions. These measures were interpreted as evidence of the new direction of government policy, which would act under pressure from America. In Jewish and pro-English circles, this news is welcomed with satisfaction. The nationals, the leaders of the Legion of Combatants are very unhappy.
