Description
Several indigenous and Jewish traders working in the Jemmapes market expressed fears about reprisals on Monday, October 14, because of the illegitimate increase in prices practiced in local trade since the war. These fears do not appear to have any connection with the repeal of the Crémieux decree. All measures have been taken to ensure the maintenance of order.
