Description

This report summarizes the visit of the reserve captain Josserand who came to Constantine for the printing of leaflets intended for Tunisia. He was asked by his service to frequent reformist circles and in particular Mr. Bouchemal. He was able to know the position of the Muslims who feel a certain antipathy towards the English because of their colonial policy and Zionism. They fear that the English will bring the Jews to them. German propaganda by radio confirms them in this state of mind. On the other hand, they would have more sympathy for the Americans. The natives are concerned about the lack of coordination and directives from the French administration.
