Description

This report describes the moral, political and economic situation after a liaison tour in the south-east of the department of Constantine. The French participation in the progressive liberation of France and especially of Paris disappointed the Moslem political circles which based their propaganda on this impossibility. France has lost its prestige and has led to a moral crisis which affects almost all French circles. From a political point of view, the report focuses on the Muslim situation, and in particular that of the Ulemas in Tébessa, Aïn-Beïda and Khenchela. From an economic point of view, money is abundant and requests for the purchase of buildings by natives are very numerous.
