This report provides an overview of February 1941 on the political activity of elected Muslim officials, reformist ulama, the Algerian People’s Party, etc. We can also read the information on the youth of the Algerian Muslim Congress, the action of the European parties on the Natives, the native workers, the Jewish question and the economic questions, etc.
The ousting of the Jews from the Administration has given the Muslims serious satisfaction. Many are surprised that they have not been allocated more places left free by the departures of Israelites.
The incident in Oued-Aïssi (mixed Fort-National) concerning the taking over of an important domain by a Jew recently dismissed from the Contributions. The agricultural workers go on strike because they don’t agree to work on behalf of the Jews.
