Note from the General  Commissioner of Police to the Prefect of Constantine on an incident between Jews and Arabs

Angered by the slowness of the service, a Jewish client from a cafe in Constantine insulted the Arabs and provoked an incident. The situation was quickly brought under control.

The Jewish client was sentenced by the Criminal Court of Constantine to a fine of 25 francs.
