חקירת עיתונאי מעיתון לה מאטן באוראן על המצב באלג’יריה – 23.02.1935
Description
Le Matin is a French daily newspaper created in 1883 and disappeared in 1944.
During the 1930s, his editorial line went to the extreme right, becoming a collaborationist under Vichy. He was banned from publication at the Liberation.
The following article is the report of a special correspondent of the newspaper in Oran describing the political, economic and social situation of Algeria.
Sent by telegram, this report with a racist tendency tells the latest friction between local and policemen, denounces the rise of Algerian nationalism and anti-Semitism, and finally puts all this on the account of the economic crisis and the influence of Communist propaganda.
